THE FRENCH REVOLUTION
Jul
14, 1789 – Nov 9, 1799
It
started when four hundred years ago many French people like Europeans and these
Europeans were divided into three states: Clergy, nobility, and the lowest
commoners and above these all was a king but this king was being questioned by
the enlightenment who promotes the use of science. The revolutionary ideas of
science began to spread to the public for their knowledge. When the king tried
to increase taxes on commoners so everyone was angry and got rid of the king
which became their independence-day for France. French adopted a declaration
that “That men are born and remain free and equal in right”. The newly
introduced guillotine was a punishment for every law-breaker. Once again, the
revolution began and ended by their monarchy which had great impact on Europe
and world history and led a foundation for modern state rules by people in
their surroundings.
